Jennifer Holzhauer, MSW, LCSW, is the Director for the Trauma Response Program (TRP) within the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division (CAP). Jennifer was born and raised in St. Louis and graduated from Washington University, Brown School of Social Work, with her master’s degree in 1999. She was awarded her license to practice social work in the state of Missouri in 2001. Jennifer has always been committed to providing trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy with children and their families who are facing difficulty.
Jennifer is also a Co-Director of the Child Psychiatry Clinic, Psychosocial Services Administrator for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division, Director of Treatment for the Hermann Center, and Director of CONNECT, the Collaborative Network for Overcoming Emotional Challenges, Crisis, and Trauma.
Jennifer lives with her husband, Joe, and her dog, Phinean. She enjoys exercises like yoga, spinning, and barre. Jennifer is active with her many nieces and nephews and enjoys her family time with them. She relaxes by watching movies, bird watching, reading, and gardening. She is an active supporter of the St. Louis Zoo, and she and her husband spend many hours there together.
