The Early Strides program at Washington University provides high-quality early intervention services to Black children aged three years and under who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Early Strides aims to address structural inequality and service delivery disparity for children in the St. Louis area. Using evidence-based teaching methods that support the development of young children with ASD, Early Strides embeds learning and the science of behavior in activities that support children’s growth and development. The Early Strides program operates in partnership with the Autism Clinical Center at the Washington University School of Medicine.
