A behavior analyst is a type of mental health professional. Behavior analysts apply behaviorism, or the study of behavior, and conduct applied behavior analysis to help understand, motivate and change an individual’s behavior, as needed.
Individuals in this role have completed at least a master’s degree, and sometimes a doctorate, in behavior analysis or a related field.
Board certification is a designation that health care professionals receive when they have passed a board certification exam, which draws upon their knowledge and experience in a particular field of study.
