Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) have received a master’s or graduate level of training, certification in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) (the study of behavior), and have passed the board certification exam from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). BCBAs design and oversee behavior intervention plans. They conduct assessments to understand behaviors, develop strategies to improve adaptive skills, and reduce challenging behaviors, especially for individuals with autism or developmental disabilities. BCBAs also lead teams of behavior technicians, provide support to caregivers, and ensure the effective delivery of ABA therapy.
